KUALA NERUS, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Terengganu FC (TFC) players have been urged to rise from their disappointment and focus on their Super League match against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium here tomorrow night.
Head coach Badrul Afzan Razali said the team’s failure to reach the FA Cup semi-finals had somewhat affected the players’ spirit and motivation.
However, he remains confident that his men can recover and deliver a solid performance to earn at least one point on home ground.
“There is some disappointment, but I can see the players bouncing back and showing positive energy during training sessions. We must forget the previous defeat and concentrate fully on the remaining Super League fixtures,” he said when contacted today.
Badrul Afzan reminded his players not to be overly cautious against JDT, as fear could disrupt their rhythm and style of play.
He said TFC must maintain defensive discipline and avoid minor mistakes that could lead to conceding goals against a strong opponent.
“All players must stay disciplined, communicate well and play as one unit. Against JDT, even small errors can be costly,” he said, adding that only striker Yan Mabella, midfielder Muhammad Akram Mahinan and goalkeeper Muhammad Rahadiazli Rahalim are still recovering from injuries.
