KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd (Touch ‘n Go), in collaboration with Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), is encouraging more Malaysians to adopt cashless and seamless public transport travel through the My50 Digital Travel Pass, amid growing ridership across the Klang valley.

In a statement issued today, Touch n Go said the initiative allows commuters to renew their monthly My50 passes digitally via the Touch ’n Go eWallet, eliminating the need to queue at stations or counters while offering greater convenience and flexibility for daily users.

Touch ’n Go chief executive officer Praba Sangarajoo said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to simplifying mobility and enhancing the commuter experience through digital innovation.

“Through the My50 Travel Pass, we’re helping commuters enjoy a smoother journey, whether it’s saving time, skipping queues, or renewing their passes directly from the Touch ’n Go eWallet. It’s all about making daily travel more effortless, accessible, and digital-first,” he said.

Prasarana President and Group Chief Executive Officer Amir Hamdan, in the same statement, said the My50 Digital Travel Pass aligns with Prasarana’s long-term vision to make public transport the preferred mode of urban mobility.

“Beyond convenience, it reflects our goal for a smarter, more seamlessly connected Klang Valley. Through our collaboration with Touch ’n Go, we are enhancing the commuter experience, supporting the nation’s cashless mobility agenda and empowering Malaysians to travel more confidently and sustainably,” he said.

The My50 Digital Travel Pass has been well received among daily commuters and students for its affordability, convenience and ease of renewal.

Nur Dayana Suhaimi, an executive and regular MRT and Monorail user, relies on the pass for her commute between Kampung Batu and Raja Chulan.

“My50 pass really helps me save on parking and daily fares. When I found out that I could renew the pass through the Touch ’n Go eWallet, I immediately switched.

“No more queues or rushing to the counter. It’s faster and so convenient, just tap my Touch ‘n Go Enhanced Card at the back of my phone and it’s done,” she shared.

For Muhammad Aiman Mohd Nor Azman, a postman with Pos Malaysia, the digital pass symbolises Malaysia's evolving mobility culture.

“It’s so much easier now. Before, I had to queue at the counter, but with the Touch ’n Go eWallet, I can renew anytime. It’s very similar to how other countries like Japan or China are going digital, it makes commuting more modern and convenient,” he said.

Meanwhile, students are also embracing digital convenience.

SMK Petaling Head Prefect Mohd Hafiez Azry said the pass helps him save time and money when travelling to school and extracurricular activities.

“I use it for LRT and buses, and I don’t have to worry about topping up every day. Renewing through the eWallet is fast and hassle-free,” he said.

His schoolmate, Nur Intan Damia Arissa Hakim, described her experience as “simple and easy”, adding that students appreciate solutions that make commuting more accessible.

From working professionals to students, the My50 Digital Travel Pass continues to empower Malaysians with affordable, cashless, and sustainable commuting options, reflecting Touch ‘n Go and Prasarana’s shared commitment to modernising the nation’s public transport experience.
