SEREMBAN, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Police have received new directives from the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) to complete the probe into a Year Four pupil’s death in Senawang here before resubmitting the investigation paper.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the AGC had returned the investigation paper, requiring them to take certain actions before resubmitting the paper.

“As the investigation paper is still in the process of being fully completed, all parties are urged not to make any statements that could affect the investigation process,” he said in a statement here today.

Alzafny said police would provide updates on the investigation once instructions are received from the AGC.

Today, the Ministry of Education (MOE) was reported as calling for a thorough investigation into all aspects related to the incident involving the Year Four pupil to ensure justice is served.

The MOE said it is taking full note of the statement issued by the pupil’s family regarding the incident.

Earlier, the media reported that the 10-year-old boy was found unconscious in the toilet of his school on Oct 1 before being pronounced dead.

A post-mortem found the cause of death to be pressure to the neck, with no other injuries found on the victim’s body.
