MALAYSIA’S TINY TECHIES SWEEP FOUR GOLD MEDALS AT GLOBAL ROBOTICS CONTEST

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- Malaysia celebrated an outstanding success at the Global Robotics Competitions 2025 (GRC 2025) when the Tiny Techies team won four gold medals at the event held in Bangkok, Thailand, from Oct 30 to Nov 2.

Tiny Techies programme director Areehan Abdullah said the team also secured one silver, two bronze, and two fourth placings in various categories, including Sumo Robot and creative projects.

He stated that the victory was contributed by students from Felda Linggiu’s National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI)  in Johor and Felda Gunung Besout 1 NADI in Perak.

“This success proves that the spirit of learning, innovation, and teamwork can elevate our young generation to the international stage,” he said in a statement today.

Malaysia's participation involved Senior category students from Felda Linggiu NADI, namely Muhammad Afiq Mohd Nazre and Mohamad Ariff Danial Mohammad Rizal,  as well as Junior category students from Felda Gunung Besout 1 NADI, Nur Damia Khalisya Mohd Rizalman and Deeniya Irdhina Muhammad Sobri. They were guided by NADI staff Nur Fadzlin Maarus and Suhaila Suliman.

Areehan said Tiny Techies remains committed to nurturing students to be creative, competitive, and knowledgeable in robotics and the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and hopes that the success will inspire more students to explore the world of STEM.

Tiny Techies is a digital education initiative, in collaboration with NADI centres nationwide, to empower students with STEM, robotics, and programming skills while opening doors to international competitions.
