The Malaysia Dancesport Federation (MYDF) in a statement said Bernice lit up the floor at Elizabeth Stadium as she brought home three gold medals in the Latin division during the three-day meet from Nov 6 to 9.
Bernice earned the first gold in the Asian Championship solo adult female samba and brushed aside the challenge from Chen Jr Yu from Taiwan, who won silver, while bronze belonged to Nguyen Lam Huyen Anh from Vietnam.
Her second gold came in DanceSport Asia (DSA) Asian Championship solo adult female paso doble, which saw Jr Yu earn silver and Nguyen Lam Huyen Anh from Vietnam complete the podium finish.
Bernice’s golden run continued as she struck her third in World Dancesport Federation (WDSF) adult female solo Latin (world ranking), followed by another national dancer, Yap Wan Yin, with silver, while home dancer Abby Lo settled for bronze.
