KINABATANGAN, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said his campaign teams will move in small groups to ensure that messages are delivered directly to voters.
The candidate for Lamag state seat said that such a strategy was more effective in ensuring every issue is explained clearly and well received by local communities.
“We have arranged machinery in district voting centres, we will use the small group strategy to ensure we achieve our target.
“Large programmes maybe once in a while, especially gatherings involving 1,500 to 2,000 youths in Kinabatangan,” he said after launching a command centre here today.
On the six-corner fight for Lamag, Bung Moktar said that even though it was a contest among brothers, he was ready to face any candidate to ensure continued development in the constituency.
On the importance of cooperation between federal and the state governments, Bung Moktar said it was vital to ensure continued development and allow the Malaysia Agreement 1963 to be negotiated well.
Bung Moktar will be up against Johainizamshah Johari of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Salahuddin @Saalahuddin Anoi (Parti Impian Sabah - PIS), Mohd Saifulah Lokman (Warisan), Mohd Ismail Ayob (Independent) and Mazlin Madali (Perikatan Nasional) in Lamag.
Polling day has been set on Nov 29, with early voting on Nov 25.
