PPZ-MAIWP NAIK TARAF APLIKASI MYWAKALAH 2.0, PERKUKUH KETELUSAN AGIHAN ZAKAT - MOHD NA'IM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 (Bernama) -- PPZ-MAIWP today rolled out MyWakalah 2.0, expanding its digital tools for managing wakalah and providing clearer oversight of zakat-related transactions.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said the enhanced platform offers real-time access to wakalah data, enabling contributors to monitor their delegated zakat through an integrated, fully digital system.

“All wakalah transactions, reports and data can now be accessed transparently, accurately and in real time, making it easier for holders to manage their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity,” he said at the Wakalah Talk 2025 launch and MyWakalah 2.0 unveiling here today.

His speech was delivered by PPZ-MAIWP chairman Datuk Seri Amrin Awaluddin, with Federal Territories Mufti Ustaz Fauwaz Fadzil also in attendance.

He said new features include asnaf profile checks, zakat payment history, application status tracking and real-time profile updates, all aimed at streamlining management and improving data accuracy.

Mohd Na’im said wakalah distribution from January to October reached RM239 million, a 32 per cent increase from the same period last year.

He added that stronger digital infrastructure would reinforce zakat governance and help ensure funds reach eligible recipients.

“The wakalah scheme encourages contributors to play an active role in ensuring their zakat benefits those in need, while fostering shared social responsibility within the community,” he said.
