SUNWAY MALLS BRINGS JOY TO FAMILIES WITH ‘COZY COZY CHRISTMAS’ AND CHARITY INITIATIVES

PETALING JAYA, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Sunway Malls has launched its annual year-end festive campaign, Cozy Cozy Christmas, featuring immersive installations, creative workshops and community-focused activities across all its malls nationwide.

Its Chief Executive Officer HC Chan said the campaign’s theme is inspired by the global “kidult” trend, which blends nostalgic fun with the cosy appeal of soft and comforting collectibles.

“We hope to create a sense of warmth and welcome through the festive plushies and bring smiles to our visitors as the theme is carried throughout our malls nationwide,” he told Bernama after officiating the campaign at Sunway Pyramid tonight.

Chan said this year’s campaign also includes partnering with UOB Bank to reward cardholders with exclusive perks and festive treats, bringing delightful experiences shoppers throughout the bustling year-end season, which includes the festive holidays, school breaks, Black Friday and Year-End sales.

Beyond sharing the festive cheer, Chan stated that Sunway Malls will also continue its community outreach efforts through its collaboration with GOLD (Generating Opportunities for Learning Disabilities), a non-profit dedicated to empowering neurodivergent young adults in Malaysia since 1998.

“Christmas is the season of giving, and while we share the joy and festive cheer, we also give back to the community by partnering with GOLD. Sunway Group has always been committed to supporting GOLD and contributing significantly to its mission,” he said.

The campaign, which runs from late November to early January, features festive decorations and programmes tailored to each mall, in line with Sunway’s aim of creating shared experiences for families and communities.

At Sunway Pyramid, the celebrations take place at LG2 Blue Concourse with a 40-feet Giant Tree Walkway, a 15-feet Cozy Leo Display and a lineup of festive pop-ups by Famous Amos, Luna Jewellery, Hydro Flask and Kiehl’s, 

Guests can also take part in Joyful & Cozy Workshops to create personalised keychains or wrap gifts at the complimentary Cozy Gift-Wrapping Station, while weekends feature ‘Christmas on Ice’  shows and festive meet-and-greets with Santa.

The mall is also driving the Spirit of Cozy Giving, where funds raised through plushie adoptions and social media postings will be channelled to the GOLD community.

Meanwhile, at Sunway Velocity Mall, visitors can look forward to performances and creative workshops offering festive crafts such as plushies, wreaths, pillow mists and mini Christmas trees.

Adding warmth to the celebrations, the Heartmade Christmas Project brings joy to paediatric patients at Sunway Medical Centre Velocity through crafts, movies and a Santa giveaway, culminating in a Heartmade Christmas Tree that shoppers can help decorate.

In Johor, Sunway Big Box Retail Park is hosting the Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie campaign from Dec 5 to 31 at the Main Concourse (East Wing), featuring themed adventure activities, weekend meet-and-greets with Gabby and various photo opportunities.

 Children who complete all adventure stations and collect stamps on their Journey Card can redeem a special Gabby gift.

The newest addition to the Sunway Malls family, Sunway Square Mall, opens on 11 Dec, kicking off with two festive bazaars, Hoholand from 11 to 14 Dec, offering  unique Christmas items, performances and workshops, and Sunset in the City from Dec 19 to Jan 4, a cosy Christmas-themed bazaar that continues into the new year.

To add to the festive spirit, Sunway Malls is offering seasonal rewards based on spending tiers.

From 28 Nov to 4 Jan 2026, shoppers who spend a minimum of RM150 in up to two same-day transactions at participating Sunway Malls can earn a digital spin on the Sunway Super App, with each spin unlocking instant festive surprises from exclusive vouchers to Cozy gifts.
