KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- Preacher Marhamah Rosli, newly appointed Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), was sworn in as a Senator before Senate president Datuk Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah this afternoon.
In his welcoming speech, Awang Bemee said the new appointment was made by the King of Malaysia under Article 45(1)(b) of the Federal Constitution and takes effect from today until Dec 15, 2028, in accordance with Articles 45(3) and 45(3A).
“On behalf of the Senate, I extend my highest congratulations to the Senator on this appointment, wishing you well in carrying out your responsibilities,” he said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today unveiled a reshuffle of the MADANI Government featuring a mix of portfolio realignments and new appointments.
