SERDANG, Dec 30 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has submitted the investigation paper regarding an officer allegedly assaulting a youth in Banting last month to the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC).

Serdang District Police Chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad stated that the investigation paper was handed over last week, and the police are currently awaiting further instructions from the AGC.

"I give my assurance that the investigation into this case is being conducted transparently," he told reporters after a Disposal of Case Items Ceremony at the Serdang District Police Headquarters here today.

On Dec 23, Bernama reported that police were investigating allegations of a local man being beaten by individuals believed to be police officers at a house in Kampung Sungai Ingat, Banting, last month.

Kuala Langat Deputy District Police Chief DSP Mohd Sufian Amin said the report was received from the victim's mother, who claimed to have received a three-minute closed-circuit television (CCTV) recording showing her son being slapped by individuals identifying themselves as police officers.

According to the report, the complainant's son was slapped several times for the purpose of searching for evidence, and the complainant's father also stated that he witnessed the incident.

Commenting on the development of another case, Muhamad Farid said the investigation paper regarding a fast-food restaurant worker who was assaulted by a woman - allegedly due to dissatisfaction over a TikTok business matter - has been referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's office.

He said the 40-year-old female suspect involved in the case will be charged at the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court on Jan 8.

"The suspect is currently abroad, and we will charge her on Jan 8 once she returns to the country," he said.

According to media reports, the incident occurred at 4:00 pm on Dec 8, resulting in the victim suffering swelling on the left cheek and a small wound on the inside of the left lip.

In a separate matter, Muhamad Farid said that 283,872 packs of cigarettes, 53,691 cans and bottles of liquor, 178 gambling-related items, 353 bitcoin machines, and other seized items worth RM3.5 million were disposed of during the ceremony.

He added that these items were linked to 673 investigation papers dating from 2010 to this year.
