KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) will take strict, uncompromising action against all 20 of its officers found to be directly involved in immoral activities.
Air Force Chief Gen Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris said the RMAF would ensure those responsible are tried and judged according to the provisions of Malaysian Armed Forces law.
“Initial investigations have found that 20 RMAF officers were directly involved in these immoral activities.
“The RMAF takes any violation of orders, directives, and regulations very seriously, and we stress that this unhealthy culture is not a practice within the force,” he said in a statement today.
He added that the Air Force leadership deeply regrets the incident and that appropriate action will also be taken against any personnel who failed to follow orders.
On Monday, the Ministry of Defence ordered an internal Armed Forces investigation into viral social media allegations regarding unauthorised entry and immoral activities at a military camp, which first surfaced the previous day.
