KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- HUAWEI has launched the HUAWEI Mate X7 in Malaysia, its latest refined and powerful foldable smartphone designed to combine premium performance and durability.
In a statement, the company said the Mate X7 is meant for users seeking flexibility without compromising performance, offering a seamless transition between work and leisure.
The device features Huawei’s X-True™ dual display system, comprising a 6.49-inch outer screen and an 8-inch inner display, providing enhanced clarity, immersive viewing and smooth multitasking supported by adaptive refresh rates.
“Despite its large display size, the HUAWEI Mate X7 remains remarkably slim and comfortable to hold. Its quad curved foldable design allows the device to sit naturally in the hand, while the signature Time Space Gate camera module and Light Woven Brocade craftsmanship elevate the device with a refined, premium aesthetic.
“Available in Nebula Red, Classic Black and Brocade White, the HUAWEI Mate X7 reflects a balance of modern design and timeless elegance,” the statement read.
The Mate X7 stands out with Huawei’s True-to-Colour Camera system, designed to deliver improved colour accuracy and light intake across various lighting conditions.
The smartphone features an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto macro camera with 3.5 times optical zoom, enabling both wide-angle and close-up photography.
In terms of durability, the Mate X7 is built using Huawei’s Ultra-Reliable Foldable Architecture, with the outer screen protected by Ultra-Durable Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass, while the inner display is reinforced by an Advanced Precision Hinge and a three-layer composite structure.
With IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance, the Mate X7 is designed to withstand daily use with confidence.
“Powering the Mate X7 is a 5,600-milliamp-hour silicon carbon battery, supporting both 66 watts wired and 50 watts wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for all-day usage and fast recharging,” the statement read.
It is further equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features such as AI Remove, AI Best Expression, Face-to-Face Translation and two-way AI noise cancellation to enhance convenience and communication.
“The HUAWEI Mate X7 is priced at RM8,688 and is available for pre-orders in Malaysia from Jan 20 through all HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Official Website and selected e-commerce platforms. Pre-order customers will receive exclusive gifts and trade-in rebates worth up to RM7,597,” it said.
HUAWEI added that the smartphone will also be offered through Maxis, with postpaid plans starting from RM170 per month.
Meanwhile, HUAWEI announced the nationwide availability of the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 open-ear earbuds, now offered at RM699 after rebate, with the introduction of the latest HUAWEI WATCH ULTIMATE DESIGN and the HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 series in Malaysia.
With this expanded lineup, HUAWEI said it will continue to strengthen its flagship ecosystem in Malaysia by delivering integrated technology solutions across smartphones, audio devices and wearables.
