KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- The country’s top women’s doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah and professional men’s doubles duo Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani are now one step closer to clinching their maiden title this season as both pairs stormed into tomorrow’s Indonesia Masters 2026 final in Jakarta.

During today’s semi final action at the iconic venue Istora Senayan, top seeds Pearly-Thinaah lived up to expectations as they just took 32-minutes to brush aside the challenge from home favourites Lanny Tria Mayasari-Apriyani Rahayu, 21-15, 21-9.

The world number two will set up the final showdown against Arisa Igarashi-Miyu Takahashi of Japan who stunned another home duo Rachel Allessya Rose-Febi Setianingrum in three sets 21-12, 19-21, 21-13, three minutes shy of a one hour battle.

Pearly-Thinaah will stand a chance to be the first Malaysian women’s doubles pair to bag the title since Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei last won it in the 2011 edition, should they beat Arisa-Miyu tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin, did not disappoint too as they sailed through to the final after defeating Denmark’s Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard, 21-9, 21-15 in a mere 28-minute match.

The fourth seeds will determine the title against Indonesian duo Raymond Indra-Nikolaus Joaquin, who stunned fifth seeds and compatriots Sabar Karyaman Gutama-Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, 21-19, 21-14.

This will be Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin’s first final since they went down to world number one from South Korea Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae, 16-21, 17-21 in the Japan Open 2025 last July.

Both Pearly-Thinaah and Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin will join reigning mixed doules world champions Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei in the Super 500 tournament final tomorrow.

Earlier today, Tang Jie-Ee Wei ousted second seeds from China Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin, 21-17, 21-12 in straight sets.

Awaiting the third seeds in the final are unseeded Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Boje of Denmark who came from behind to dispatch sixth seeds from Indonesia Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu, 20-22, 21-19, 21-17.
