THUNDERSTORMS, HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED TO HIT SARAWAK, SABAH UNTIL 9 PM - METMALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting several areas in Sarawak and Sabah, until 9 pm today.

In a statement issued at 5 pm, MetMalaysia said that the adverse weather is expected to affect parts of Sarawak, including Kapit (Bukit Mabong and Belaga), Miri (Beluru and Telang Usan) and Limbang.

Meanwhile, in Sabah, similar weather conditions are forecast for the interior areas of Sipitang, Kuala Penyu and Beaufort, as well as the west coast districts of Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran.
