KUALA LUMPUR, FEB 5 (Bernama) – The rebranding of the Pusrawi Specialist Hospital here reflects the institution's commitment to offering quality healthcare services based on the value of compassion, in line with the MADANI Government's aspiration to empower the well-being of the people.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said the rebranding not only involves the image and corporate identity, but also includes upgrading infrastructure, modern facilities, medical equipment, expertise, and the entire ecosystem of the institution as a specialist hospital that is Ibadah-friendly, sharia-compliant and inclusive.

“Pusrawi is a long-established and recognised healthcare brand, and taking the institution to a higher level requires structured branding, a clear strategy and a strong service ecosystem.

"This effort reflects the indicator of the Rahmatan lil Alamin (Mercy to all creations) concept, which is an inclusive and value-based approach, in line with the best healthcare services for all segments of society," he said at a press conference after officiating the rebranding of Pusrawi Specialist Hospital Kuala Lumpur and the opening of the Azman Hashim Cancer Treatment Department (JRKAH) here today.

Also present were Pusrawi Heritage Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir and AmBank Group chairman emeritus and honorary advisor Tan Sri Azman Hashim, who is also Azman Hashim Foundation chairman.

Established in 1984 at Wisma Baitulmal, Jalan Ipoh before moving to Jalan Tun Razak in 2006, the Pusrawi Specialist Hospital Kuala Lumpur, previously known as Hospital Pusrawi Sdn Bhd, is a private hospital, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council that is Pusrawi Holdings Heritage Sdn Bhd.

Regarding JRKAH, Zulkifli said he was satisfied with the facilities and service amenities provided, which are in line with current cancer treatment needs.

With the expertise and technology available, he suggested that the healthcare institution be more active in reaching out to the community to raise awareness about the increasing incidence of cancer and the importance of early prevention and treatment.

"Besides generating income for operational sustainability, Pusrawi also needs to continue fulfilling its social responsibility through initiatives to raise public awareness about cancer and its treatment, in line with the MADANI Government's agenda that upholds the value of helping the people as much as possible," he also said.

JRKAH is a strategic initiative of Pusrawi Specialist Hospital Kuala Lumpur to strengthen more comprehensive and integrated cancer treatment services, and was established with a RM5.8 million contribution from the Azman Hashim Foundation.
