SINGAPORE, Feb 7 (Bernama) -- Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Saturday expressed appreciation for the participation of regional air forces, including the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), at the Singapore Airshow 2026.
In a Facebook post, Wong said he visited the biennial airshow on Saturday morning and met visiting pilots and their teams from air forces across the region and beyond, including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United States.
He also spoke with airmen and women from the Singapore Air Force.
“Visited the Singapore Airshow this morning, and it was heartening to see so many families there.
“Such exchanges help build professional understanding and promote constructive dialogue across borders.
“I hope events like this continue to inspire our young people, strengthen partnerships with friends around the world, and deepen Singapore’s role as a trusted global aviation hub,” Wong wrote.
Held at the Changi Exhibition Centre from Feb 3 to 8, Singapore Airshow 2026 opened to the public Saturday and will run until Sunday. It attracted about 65,000 trade visitors during its first four days.
The RMAF took part in the aerobatic display, showcasing its SU-30MKM aircraft from No. 12 Squadron, also known as Toruk Makto.
