KPKT ALLOCATES RM183 MLN FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN PAHANG

KUANTAN, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has allocated RM183 million this year for various development and upgrading projects in Pahang, said its minister Nga Kor Ming.

He said the allocation includes RM46.7 million for the Rumah Mesra Rakyat programme, RM37 million for local authority (PBT) development projects such as the construction of the Temerloh Sentral bus terminal, and RM32 million under the urban sustainability division for housing programmes and projects.

A total of RM21.1 million has also been allocated for development and upgrading works of Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) infrastructure in Kuantan, Bera, Lipis, Rompin and Bentong.

“No one will be left behind as RM4 million has also been channelled to the New Village Division for development projects in new villages across Pahang,” he said at the KPKT Sentuhan Kasih 4.0 programme in conjunction with a visit to the Alor Akar Flats here today.

Also present were the Prime Minister’s political secretary Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi and JBPM director-general Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad.

At the event, Nga also announced an additional RM1 million allocation each to rebuild the Cenderawasih Food Court in Indera Mahkota and the Balok Multipurpose Hall here.

He said the MADANI government prioritises people’s wellbeing, with public infrastructure projects helping to improve quality of life and strengthen the nation.

“KPKT remains committed to working with local authorities nationwide to realise inclusive and sustainable national development plans to enhance public services and people’s wellbeing,” he added.
