1.UN CALLS FOR PEACEFUL BORDER SETTLEMENT -- FRESH NEWS

The United Nations urged Cambodia and Thailand to resolve their border issue peacefully based on international law. United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Cambodia Vladanka Andreeva conveyed the message to Prime Minister Hun Manet.

 

2.JOBS FOR RETURNING WORKERS -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE

Nearly 2,700 workers in Battambang province returning from Thailand were offered jobs. The government urged migrant workers to enrol in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training programme to improve their skills.

Indonesian Trade Minister Budi Santoso and the Investment, Industry, and Trade Minister of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, on Monday have launched negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Indonesia and Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah affirmed that the government guarantees the safety and protection of umrah pilgrims who are currently stranded or facing difficulties returning home due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

The government has pardoned over 10,000 prisoners in conjunction with the 64th Peasants’ Day on Tuesday. Cases against 12,487 individuals charged under the Counter Terrorism Law were withdrawn.

The Myanmar Football Federation is organising basic football and futsal training programmes in five cities to develop talents. Some 3,000 children under the age of 15 will benefit from the training from March to April.
