CAPITAL MARKET MASTERPLAN 2026-2030 VITAL BLUEPRINT FOR SUSTAINABLE RETURNS - LTAT

KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (Bernama) -- The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) views the newly launched Capital Market Masterplan 2026-2030 (CMP) by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) as a vital blueprint that aligns with its mission to generate sustainable, long-term returns for its contributors.

LTAT chief executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi said the pension fund is particularly encouraged by the CMP’s strategic focus on enhancing the valuations and governance of Malaysian portfolio companies.

“We are particularly encouraged by CMP’s focus on governance and enhancing the corporate structure of our portfolio companies.

“This ensures that we can continue to deliver consistent value to our contributors while contributing to the overall maturity of the Malaysian capital market,” he said.

LTAT is a statutory body established in August 1972 to manage the retirement savings and benefits for serving members of the Malaysian Armed Forces.

Mohammad Ashraf highlighted that CMP’s commitment to retirement adequacy and the democratisation of investment products are crucial for the long-term financial security of both veterans and active-duty personnel.

“The plan’s commitment to making investment tools more accessible ensures that our personnel have the resources they need to secure a dignified retirement.

“By lowering barriers to entry and promoting financial literacy, the CMP helps us bridge the gap for our members, ensuring they are not left behind in the nation’s journey toward a high-income economy,” he said.

Mohammad Ashraf also said that LTAT supports the whole-of-nation approach advocated by the government.

“In line with the CMP’s 20-year horizon, LTAT will continue to reshape and recalibrate its investment strategies to remain a resilient engine for both its contributors and the broader Malaysian economy.

“Through this alignment, LTAT aims to support the national goal of building a high-income nation that is inclusive, sustainable, and resilient,” he said.
