SHAH ALAM, March 16 (Bernama) -- The Higher Education Ministry’s (MOHE) Jom Masuk Universiti Carnival 2026 (Central Zone I) has been recognised as the Largest Higher Education Virtual Carnival by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR).
The virtual carnival, from March 16 tp 17, is being hosted by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), with participation from all public universities as well as various higher education agencies, UiTM vice-chancellor Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin said.
He added that the carnival is an innovative approach aligned with digital transformation needs in delivering higher education information to the public.
“This carnival provides students with the opportunity to obtain information about higher education pathways, study programmes, and opportunities offered by public universities, public higher education institutions, the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) Higher Education Division, as well as private higher education institutions,” he said during the breaking of fast event in conjunction with the virtual carnival at UiTM International Complex in Shah Alam today.
According to Shahrin, UiTM also developed a special digital platform to ensure an interactive experience for visitors to support the virtual carnival,
The virtual carnival involves 62 agencies and higher education institutions, featuring 367 virtual booths, reflecting strong commitment, support, and confidence from multiple stakeholders in the programme’s success and its role in providing information on study opportunities to students.
“We hope this platform can help students make clearer decisions about their higher education pathways, while producing knowledgeable and skilled graduates who can contribute to the nation’s development,” he added.
