KOTA BHARU, March 17 (Bernama) -- Maxis, together with 44 graduates of its eKelas Usahawan Acceleration Programme, recently distributed special raya goodies to 100 members of various charitable groups in Kelantan.

The groups included the Persatuan Orang Pekak Kelantan (POPK), Persatuan Insan Istimewa Kelantan (INSANI), Persatuan Orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia Cawangan Kelantan (PERTIS) and Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Dhuafa' Kelantan.

Maxis chief corporate affairs officer Azizul Abdul Rahman said the goodies were prepared by the graduates themselves, allowing the entrepreneurs to give back to their community and bring their journey full circle.

“Additionally, Maxis donated three laptops and festive packs comprising food items to Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim dan Dhuafa' Kelantan, which supports 180 children across several orphanages under its care,” he said in a statement today.

Azizul added that a graduation ceremony was also held for the 44 local business owners from the second cohort of the programme, which is an upskilling initiative that saw these entrepreneurs boost their average revenue by 24 per cent in only three months.

He said the programme, held from November 2025 to February 2026, was organised in collaboration with Kelantan Women Entrepreneurs Club (KUWAK), the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, and the Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation (PERHEBAT).

“Through practical training and coaching sessions, participants were equipped with the skills to scale their businesses in the digital economy. Many of the participants recorded tangible growth in both revenue and social media following after applying digital marketing strategies from the programme.

"This initiative demonstrates our commitment to uplifting entrepreneurs on their growth journey. By ensuring the benefits of that success reach underserved groups, we are able to build a foundation for a self-sustaining local community.

“It is a truly meaningful occasion to celebrate these graduates’ achievements alongside our Ramadan community outreach,” he said.
