Speaking at a media conference after the election, Mohd Najeeb said his greatest challenge would be to raise the performance of the national squad.

Former MTBC president Datuk Dr P S Nathan relinquished his post in May after 50 years of being in office.

The remaining members of the leadership team were all retained unopposed, with Amateur Bowling Association of Sarawak (ABAS) president Sunny Si Poh Heng elected as deputy president, the five vice-presidents - national bowling legend Datuk Shalin Zulkifl (central south), Hidzir Ahmad (north), Datuk Shalin Zulkifli (central south), Mazlan Said (central south), Zamzuriadi Shamsuddin (east) and Rozainny Sham Talip (East Malaysia), Choo Yew Kuen as honorary treasurer, and Maradona Chok as secretary.
