MALAYSIA-NEPAL ASIAN CUP FIRST-LEG QUALIFIER AT SULTAN IBRAHIM STADIUM

13/03/2025 01:24 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has confirmed that the Harimau Malaya squad’s first match under Peter Cklamovski in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Nepal will take place at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on March 25, with kick-off at 10.00 pm.

FAM said the venue change for the March 25 match follows a request from the All Nepal Football Association to move the fixture to Malaysia due to ongoing maintenance work at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. The return match on Nov 18 will now be held in Nepal.

“Thus, FAM has decided to play at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium after receiving the consent of Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail to use the venue as the starting point of the Harimau Malaya revolution initiated by His Royal Highness himself,” the statement said.

FAM hopes Harimau Malaya supporters will turn up in large numbers for the match against Nepal, despite it taking place during Ramadan.

Tickets, priced at RM40 for adults and RM5 for children aged six to 12, will be available for online purchase at www.tickethotline.com.my starting today from 10.00 am.
