PETALING JAYA, April 23 (Bernama) -- Tickets for the 2024/2025 Malaysia Cup final between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Sri Pahang FC are selling like hotcakes, with nearly 60 per cent sold so far.
Malaysian Football League (MFL) acting chief executive officer Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd attributed the encouraging response to the final, to be played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Saturday (April 26), to the various announcements and promotions carried out by both teams.
"It (the encouraging response) is also due to MFL's latest initiative where we introduced a lucky draw, with attractive prizes up for grabs,” he said when met at the MFL-Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)-Amateur Football League (AFL) Raya Open House at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya here today.
Among the prizes are three motorcycles, three electric scooters, two iPhones, two Apple watches and two 360 Insta cameras.
Mohd Shazli said only online ticket buyers will be eligible to participate in the lucky draw, thus providing an extra incentive for supporters to purchase their tickets earlier.
"So, to all JDT and Sri Pahang FC supporters, tickets are still on sale until match day,” said, adding that the MFL is targeting ticket sales to hit at least 80 per cent for the Malaysia Cup grand finale.
