KUALA LUMPUR CITY FC SECOND IN THE LEAGUE AFTER 3-0 WIN OVER MELAKA FC

MELAKA, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Kuala Lumpur (KL) City FC rose to second in the Super League with 23 points after beating Melaka FC 3-0 in their Super League match at Hang Jebat Stadium, Krubong here tonight.

KL City FC jumped into the lead early in the game with a goal by Victor Ruiz Abril in the seventh minute, while the host team tried to equalise later in the tenth minute, but Juan Douglas Teles Da Silva’s blistering shot hit the goalpost.

KL City FC to double their lead when Kpah Sean Sherman converted a penalty in the 16th minute, and while both teams tried for another goal, the scoreline remained the same till halftime.

In the second half, both teams tried again to score, with several chances thwarted by the goalpost.

KL City FC’s final goal finally came when Lambert Ryan Edward Lee Kit Seng tucked in a cross by Mohamad Kamal Azizi Mohamad Zabri in the 78th minute.
