KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, graced the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) 2026 race held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) last weekend.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page, the Queen was there to witness the performance of Their Majesties’ sons, Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Putera Johor Tunku Abu Bakar, representing the Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) team.
Tunku Temenggong Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar and Tunku Tun Aminah, together with her husband Datuk Dennis Muhammad Abdullah, also attended the event.
The Asian Le Mans racing series is a regional series focused in Malaysia (Sepang) and the UAE as a qualifier for the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours race in France.
In a separate post, Raja Zarith Sofiah also visited the Sheik Zayed Mosque today.
The Queen, accompanied by Tunku Tun Aminah and her husband, was welcomed at the mosque by the Sheik Zayed Mosque director-general Dr. Yousif Abdallah Alobaidli.
Raja Zarith Sofiah spent about an at a briefing and surveying the mosque's surroundings.
The mosque, which was opened in 2007, is the result of the vision of the country's founder, Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, and is one of the largest mosques in the world, capable of accommodating around 55,000 worshipers.
