NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar advanced in late trading on Wednesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 1.61 per cent to 105.090 at 3.00 pm (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro was down to US$1.0735 from US$1.0931 in the previous session, and the British pound dropped to US$1.2890 from US$1.3021 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 154.45 Japanese yen, higher than 151.46 yen of the previous session. It advanced to 0.8761 Swiss francs from 0.8631 francs, and was up to C$1.3932 from C$1.3841 in the previous session.
Against the Swedish Krona, the dollar climbed to 10.8447 kronor from 10.7131 kronor previously.
