WARSAW DENIES THAT SLOVAK DELEGATION WAS NOT ALLOWED TO FLY OVER POLAND TO MOSCOW

13/01/2025 05:20 PM

WARSAW, Jan 13 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The Polish Foreign Ministry denied that the plane carrying Slovak parliamentary delegation had not been allowed to fly over the republic’s territory to Russia, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the head of the Slovak National Party Andrej Danko said that Poland had not allowed the plane carrying the Slovak parliamentary delegation, which was heading to Russia on a visit, to fly over its airspace. The plane had to fly to Moscow via the Czech Republic and Germany.

"Poland did not deny the Slovak delegation, which began its visit to Moscow today, the opportunity to fly over its territory," the RAP agency quoted Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski as saying.

According to Wronski, the Slovak side "sent incomplete documents".

"Poland asked to supplement them, and the Slovak side decided to change the route," the spokesman said.
