ISTANBUL, March 13 (Bernama-Anadou) -- Philippines ex-President Rodrigo Duterte’s plane landed Wednesday at The Hague in the Netherlands where he will face trial at the International Criminal Court for alleged crimes against humanity during his “war on drugs,” Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported according to Philippine media.
Duterte was put on a chartered flight to The Hague to face trial Tuesday after he was arrested at the Manila International Airport upon his arrival from Hong Kong.
The plane made a stopover in Dubai before it continued to The Hague.
Duterte's daughter and the Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte also left Wednesday for The Hague to help arrange a legal team for her father.
