UAE’S SHARJAH AIRPORT SET TO HANDLE OVER 500,000 EID TRAVELLERS

SHARJAH (United Arab Emirates), March 25 (Bernama-WAM) -- Sharjah Airport has announced full operational readiness ahead of the anticipated surge in air traffic during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday period.

Between March 27 and April 6, the airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to handle over 500,000 passengers and operate 3,344 flights.

The Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) confirmed that all operational and logistical preparations have been finalised in coordination with strategic partners and relevant entities to ensure smooth operations and deliver a seamless travel experience aligned with the highest international standards.

As part of a comprehensive operational plan, the SAA has deployed sufficient human resources across all key areas, with a particular focus on strengthening customer service teams to provide immediate support to travellers.

All facilities and support services have been fully prepared to reflect the airport’s standing as a leading regional aviation hub.

In line with its commitment to inclusive service, special emphasis has been placed on dedicated facilities for senior citizens, children, and persons with disabilities to ensure their comfort and cater to their specific needs.

Sharjah Airport continues to enhance its digital journey by promoting the use of smart technologies that enable quicker and more efficient check-in procedures.

This digital push is part of the airport’s broader transformation strategy, aimed at delivering a fully integrated and technology-driven travel experience.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure to complete travel formalities with ease.
