UZF 2025: TH AND TH TRAVEL REPRESENT MALAYSIA, RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) and TH Travel & Services Sdn Bhd (TH Travel) were honoured as the sole representatives from Malaysia and Southeast Asia at the 2025 Umrah and Ziyarah Forum (UZF 2025), held over three days in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, beginning Monday (April 14).

In a statement to Bernama on Thursday, TH Travel said the forum's opening ceremony was officiated by the Governor of Madinah Province, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Also in attendance were Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah, alongside industry delegates and leaders from various countries.

Malaysia, through TH Travel Chairman, Datuk Seri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman, was given the honour of delivering the keynote address during the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Syed Saleh reaffirmed TH and TH Travel’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and to further strengthening the close bilateral ties between the two nations.

He also highlighted Tabung Haji and TH Travel’s continuous efforts to provide top-quality services that prioritise the safety, comfort, and welfare of pilgrims.

According to the statement, the exclusive participation in the forum exhibition also provided an opportunity for TH and TH Travel to share their experiences and introduce Malaysia’s well-organised, innovative, and internationally recognised pilgrimage management model.

As a formal mark of appreciation, TH Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Syed Hamadah Syed Othman, was presented with a special recognition trophy by the organisers, in acknowledgement of TH and TH Travel’s significant contributions to the success of the forum.

The UZF 2025 forum attracted over 25,000 visitors, featured 150 exhibition booths, more than 50 workshops, and over 80 paper presentations throughout the three-day event.
