1.TEMPORARY BAN ON THAI LIVESTOCK IMPORTS -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries has temporarily banned importing livestock and meat products from Thailand. The announcement comes after an anthrax outbreak affected livestock in the neighbouring country, although no cases were reported in Cambodia. 

 

2.CAMBODIA-SOUTH KOREA TO TACKLE METHANE -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE Cambodia and South Korea have initiated a regional project to slash methane emissions in the agro-industrial sector. They will exchange solutions to address health and environmental threats and assist Cambodia to become carbon-neutral by 2050.

The episode unfolded shortly after a group of retired generals publicly called for the removal of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, fueling questions about constitutional boundaries between civil and military authority.

 

2.INDONESIAN POLICE SEIZE RP 530 BLN IN ONLINE GAMBLING MONEY LAUNDERING CASE -- JAKARTA GLOBE

Indonesian police have seized assets worth more than Rp 530 billion (approximately US$32 million) from two business executives accused of facilitating money laundering and illicit financial transactions tied to online gambling networks. The confiscated assets include Rp 250.5 billion in cash, four vehicles, and various financial instruments, according to Commissioner General Wahyu Widada, head of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim).

Laos and Vietnam signed an agreement to repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Attapeu province during the Indochina War. During recent searches, a Vietnamese military unit excavated the remains of 12 Vietnamese soldiers and experts.
