KYIV, Dec 26 (Bernama-dpa) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday announced a trip to meet with United States (US) President Donald Trump in the coming days, reported German Press Agency (dpa).
"We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level – with President Trump in the near future," Zelensky wrote on the social media platform X.
He said the decision followed an update from Rustem Umerov, Ukraine’s lead negotiator in peace talks to end the war started by Russia nearly four years ago, regarding his latest contacts with the United States.
"A lot can be decided before the New Year," Zelensky wrote.
