INDONESIA

 

1.NEARLY ALL GAS STATIONS IN FLOOD-HIT SUMATRA RESTORED: MINISTRY -- ANTARA

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stated that gas station services in flood- and landslide-hit Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have reached nearly a 100 percent recovery rate.

 

2.INDONESIA SEES 1.2 MILLION FOREIGN TOURIST VISITS IN NOVEMBER 2025 -- ANTARA

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported that foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia reached 1.2 million visits in November 2025.

1.FLOATING NIGHT MARKET PROPOSED -- VIENTIANE TIMES 

Authorities plan to convert a channel in the Sikhottabong district in Vientiane into a floating night market. The waterway would be transformed into a market, with dining and leisure activities, to boost trade and tourism.

 

2.TIGHT SECURITY AS NATIONAL CONGRESS BEGINS -- VIENTIANE TIMES 

Security has been tightened in Vientiane, where the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party is taking place this week. More than 800 delegates, including 123 women, will attend the congress.

 

MYANMAR

 

1.EXPANDING FISH PRODUCT EXPORTS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The Fisheries Department will focus on improving safety and quality standards for fish products to expand to overseas markets. Myanmar exports over 300 types of fishery products to over 40 countries.

 

2.INDIA SUPPORTS FARM MODERNISATION  -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

Projects under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation framework to develop Myanmar’s agricultural sector commenced operation. The “Drying Machine and Drying Facility Project” and the “ACARE Knowledge Repository Project” were completed with the assistance of the Indian government. 

 

PHILIPPINES

 

1. BICOL PROVINCES SUSPEND CLASSES DUE TO BAD WEATHER -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

Classes at all levels, both public and private, have been suspended in Sorsogon and in several towns in Albay and Catanduanes due to the ongoing effects of the shear line that brought heavy rainfall to different parts of the Bicol region on Tuesday.

 

2. LPA SPOTTED OUTSIDE PAR BUT UNLIKELY TO INTENSIFY -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

Thai authorities have identified a new scam centre in Malai city of Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey province, believed to have moved there following recent crackdowns along the Thai-Cambodian border.

1.CAI MEP-THI VAI PORT TO BE KEY TRANSHIPMENT HUB -- VIETNAMPLUS

The Cai Mep-Thi Vai deep-water port will be a major transhipment hub to propel Ho Chi Minh City’s marine economy. The seaport is expected to handle between 440 million and 531 million metric tonnes of cargo by 2030.

 

2.FAKE MILK PRODUCERS CHARGED -- VIETNAM NEWS

Eighteen people involved in an alleged counterfeit milk operation worth RM379 million (US$93 million) went on trial in Hanoi on Monday. The group concealed the production and sale of fake food products, evaded taxes and laundered illegal earnings.
