WASHINGTON, Jan 27 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Pentagon awarded tech enterprise Computable Insights a US$5.6 billion contract to implement a unified data and process management platform Salesforce with full support, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported.

"The US Army has awarded the company a US$5.6 billion, 10-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The landmark agreement is executed through Computable Insights LLC., a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to Salesforce’s national security operations" Salesforce said in a statement.

According to Pentagon, the contract is expected to be completed by June 26, 2035.

The Salesforce CRM system provides cloud-based enterprise solutions with AI integration. Particular emphasis is placed on creating secure, unified digital platforms that allow large organisations to centrally and efficiently manage all their processes, data, and interactions.

Throughout 2025, the Pentagon experienced several scandals involving the leaking of classified data. In June, an investigation was launched into the leak of information about proposed US strikes on Iran. In March, messages about planned strikes on Yemen surfaced online, sent by Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth in a private Signal chat.
