CRISTIANO RONALDO SCORES ON HIS RETURN TO ACTION AS AL NASSR WIN

15/02/2026 12:24 PM

LONDON, Feb 15 (Bernama-PA Media/dpa) - Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his return to action as Al Nassr maintained their pursuit of Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal with a 2-0 win at Al Fateh, reported PA Media/dpa.

The 41-year-old Portugal superstar, who had missed two league matches and the AFC Cup game at Arkadag after reportedly going on strike in protest at his club’s lack of January transfer business, scored the opening goal after his exile came to an end at the Al Fateh Club Stadium.

Ronaldo’s 18th league goal of the campaign, a right-foot strike from inside the penalty area, set the visitors on their way to a relatively comfortable win.

He needed less than a minute to take his first attempt at goal, although his wayward effort was the sign of better things to come.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star did not have to wait much longer to leave his mark on the game when he fired the visitors into an 18th-minute lead.

Ayman Yahya added a second with 12 minutes remaining to wrap up the points on a night when Ronaldo made way for Abdullah Al-Hamdan deep into stoppage time.
