SAUDI WATER AUTHORITY PRESIDENT REVIEWS MAKKAH’S READINESS FOR INCREASED RAMADAN DEMAND

MAKKAH, Feb 17 (Bernama-SPA) -- President of the Saudi Water Authority Eng. Abdullah Al-Abdulkareem inspected water system readiness in Makkah and the holy sites in preparation for Ramadan, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

This visit ensures supply reliability and service sustainability amid expected demand increases. The tour covered production, transmission, storage, and distribution systems.

Al-Abdulkareem reviewed operational workflows, performance indicators, and seasonal demand management plans to enhance technical readiness and coordination across the system, ensuring continuous supply and high-quality water for visitors to the Grand Mosque.

Additionally, Al-Abdulkareem met with Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Abdulfattah Mashat to discuss preparations and improve collaboration between the authority and the ministry during Ramadan.

Concluding the visit, he emphasised the need for proactive preparations through institutional integration and resource utilisation to deliver optimal guest services during peak seasons.
