1.CHERISH KHMER WEDDING RITUALS -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts wants artists and wedding organisers to preserve the traditional Khmer wedding ceremonies. The  "Bok Leak" ceremony, a symbolic ritual of the wedding tradition, should be preserved.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries aims to launch its first blue carbon pilot projects on the international carbon market by 2027, leveraging the nation’s vast mangrove and seagrass ecosystems.

 

2.INDONESIA EXPORTS 2,280 TONS OF HAJJ RICE TO SAUDI ARABIA FROM FEB 28 -- ANTARA

Indonesia’s state logistics agency Bulog will export 2,280 tons of rice for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia starting Feb. 28, marking the country’s first overseas shipment of domestically produced rice for Hajj pilgrims.

1.MORE PROTECTED FOREST IN RAKHINE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The government has designated more than 100 acres of land in Taungup Township of Rakhine State as a protected public forest. This is to safeguard biodiversity, conserve water resources and protect the forest from being destroyed. 

 

2.WOMEN SEAFARERS JOINING CRUISE SHIPS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The Myanmar Seafarers Federation said more than 4,000 Myanmar women seafarers are working on international cruise ships. European cruise owners are keen to employ Myanmar women for officer positions.
