KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 (Bernama) -- Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan signed a condolence note on the passing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at the Iranian Embassy here on Thursday.
Mohamad said he also conveyed the condolences and sympathy of the Malaysian government and people to Iran’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Valiollah Mohammadi Nasrabadi, over the leader’s passing.
“May strength and patience be granted to all the people of Iran during this difficult time,” he said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
Khamenei, 86, was killed in a joint United States–Israel attack on Iran last Saturday.
