KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 (Bernama) -- Private credit reporting agency, CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd (CTOS) is calling on Malaysians to check their credit scores with the launch of its latest campaign, Kredit Kau Hijau.
In a statement today, CTOS said the campaign is about giving Malaysians the knowledge and tools to take charge of their financial future, starting with checking if their credit is ‘green’.
CTOS Digital Bhd group chief executive officer Erick Hamburger said the campaign aims to create a fun and relatable way to guide Malaysians on managing their credit and boosting their financial know-how.
"We’re here to help. At CTOS, we want to play our part in guiding the younger generation to stay informed and take charge of their finances.
“Ultimately, we hope that understanding their credit scores will give them a better perspective on their spending habits and empower them to make smart financial choices,” he said.
CTOS said the campaign also aims to play a role in guiding Malaysians, especially young adults, to stay on top of their credit game.
Recently, the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) reported that 53,000 youths under 30 are stuck with nearly RM1.9 billion of debt, mostly from raising bigger families, keeping up with a particular lifestyle, paying off housing loans, and purchasing vehicles that may be out of their means.
