KUALA NERUS, April 21 (Bernama) -- Terengganu FC (TFC) head coach Badrul Afzan Razali has expressed interest in leading the team next season.
As a proud native of Terengganu, Badrul said he is eager to continue contributing to the development of football in his home state.
However, he revealed that he has yet to receive any formal offer from Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd or any other interested teams.
“I’m from Terengganu, and if given the chance, I’m more than ready to continue leading the Turtles,” he said.
“I’m satisfied with what I’ve achieved over the past seven months as head coach. If entrusted with the job again next season, I’ll give it my all,” he said after the final match of the 2024/2025 Super League campaign against Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium last night.
Meanwhile, KDA FC head coach Victor Andrag extended his heartfelt appreciation to the loyal Sang Kenari supporters for standing by the team throughout the season.
Despite finishing third from bottom, Victor said the fans have continued to hope that the team will remain in the top flight next season.
“It’s not just me. The people of Kedah and many others are still hoping the green and yellow will stay in the Super League.
“We’ve got around 10 days left before the deadline set by the Malaysian Football League (MFL). But I’m not sure what’s going on... we’re still waiting,” he said.
Both KDA FC and Sri Pahang FC are reportedly at risk of missing out on the 2025/2026 Malaysia League season due to off-field issues, including unresolved salary matters.
Their potential absence could pave the way for Melaka FC and Brunei DPMM FC to return to the Super League, the latter making a comeback after a 17-year absence.
