EcoWorld’s EBP7 Forum Sparks New Industrial Momentum In MVV 2.0

04/12/2025 12:52 PM

SEREMBAN, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Eco Business Park VII (EBP7), EcoWorld’s next-generation integrated industrial hub in Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0), hosted the 'EcoWorld Connects: Business Ascend Forum', bringing together industry experts and business partners to discuss ASEAN opportunities, industrial transformation and the rise of the artificial intelligence (AI)-driven economy.

Eco World Development Group Bhd deputy chief executive officer, Liew Tian Xiong, said the forum provided a meaningful and exclusive engagement for EBP7 purchasers and prospects.

He added that EcoWorld Connects was designed to unite people, ideas and opportunities in a rapidly evolving ASEAN region, where businesses need more than physical space.

"They need an ecosystem that supports innovation, collaboration and long-term growth, and EBP7 is built precisely with this vision in mind—a next-generation hub designed for businesses to innovate, scale and thrive," he said in his opening remarks at the forum.

The half-day forum, held on December 2, was officiated by Negeri Sembilan State Industrialisation and Non-Muslim Affairs Committee chairman, Teo Kok Seong.

Liew said the event continued with two panel discussions moderated by prominent broadcaster Owen Yap, featuring speakers from trade and industry who shared insights on ASEAN’s economic landscape, AI-driven business strategies and the future of manufacturing and logistics in the region.

The forum concluded with a networking session, where investors and guests explored the newly opened EBP7 Sales Gallery and engaged with EcoWorld’s industrial team on the development’s offerings and upcoming opportunities within MVV 2.0.

Liew noted that the event also marked two key milestones: the signing of sale and purchase agreements (SPAs) with early purchasers Techbond Group Bhd and I Jaya Management Sdn Bhd.

"The commitment from Techbond and I Jaya sends a strong signal of confidence in EBP7’s long-term potential. Their presence helps establish the foundation for a complete and well-supported industrial ecosystem that includes not only manufacturers but also worker accommodation, business incubators, and a 30-acre business district," he added.

Techbond Group will establish a high-tech plant producing industrial adhesives and sealants, while I Jaya Management will develop GreenRE-certified worker housing to support multiple industries within MVV 2.0.

The event also saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tian Tian Chu Hai (China), establishing a strategic collaboration to promote the industrial park to Chinese investors and enterprises. The partnership aims to deepen international interest and enhance global connectivity for MVV 2.0.

“These milestones reflect the strong momentum building around EBP7. We are encouraged by the confidence shown by our partners and purchasers, and we look forward to building a vibrant business community here,” Liew said.

Meanwhile, Teo described the forum as an important platform for fostering collaboration and strengthening Negeri Sembilan’s industrial ecosystem.

He highlighted EBP7 as a strong example of how public–private partnerships can drive industrial growth and said the state government welcomes developments that attract investment, create jobs and enhance competitiveness.

He also emphasised the strategic importance of MVV 2.0, a 14,568-hectare corridor located near KLIA, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Port Klang.

"With robust infrastructure and connectivity, MVV 2.0 is poised to become a major logistics and high-value industrial hub, designed to expand the economic potential of Greater Kuala Lumpur and anchor seven high-impact industries, including aerospace, semiconductors, electric vehicles and logistics," Teo said.
