CT Group Unveils Landmark Projects To Advance Vietnamese Technology Globally

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- CT Group recently unveiled two landmark projects, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) ASEAN Super Headquarter Union and ASEAN’s largest Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Center, at a launch event held at Hanoi’s Ho Guom Opera House.

The unveiling drew more than 600 distinguished guests, including representatives from key Vietnamese ministries, business associations, provincial authorities, leading universities, research institutions, and major domestic and international corporations.

Addressing the scientific basis for investing in large-scale global technology projects, CT Group in a statement said it has mastered all core UAV technologies. Through its subsidiary, CT UAV, the group has achieved an average localisation rate of 87.5 per cent across six core technology domains.

To maintain global competitiveness, CT UAV has introduced three proprietary breakthroughs—stable-flight technology adaptable to different propellers, multi-level safety systems enabling controlled landings in case of component failure, and autonomous swarm firefighting capabilities. The company has also developed passenger-carrying UAV technologies that exceed current market benchmarks.

CT Group further cited its ability to adapt in volatile global conditions and its large-scale manufacturing capacity as key competitive advantages, supported by five modern UAV production facilities currently in operation.

The UAV ASEAN Super Headquarter Union will function as a "Technology City" comprising manufacturing plants, research institutes, training facilities, and innovation centres, alongside residential and service infrastructure for experts and workers.

In parallel, CT Group announced a 6,000 billion Vietnamese dong investment in the ASEAN’s largest LAE Center, designed to attract high-skilled talent, support technology exports, and enable more than 600 applications across multiple industries. (100,000 Vietnamese dong = RM15.50)

The group has also established an international quality management system with support from Swiss experts, ensuring compliance with global aerospace standards, including AS9100D and ISO 9001.

At the launch ceremony, CT Group signed strategic partnerships with more than 20 organisations, including top Vietnamese corporations, provincial authorities, research institutes, and major Indonesian companies, underscoring growing regional and international collaboration in UAV and LAE development.
