KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- MCE Holdings Bhd subsidiaries Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Bhd and MCE Hengtuo Sdn Bhd have secured contracts worth RM37.9 million from national carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd.
MCE is a tier-1 Malaysian automotive supplier specialising in the engineering, design and manufacturing of automotive electronics and mechatronic components. It will supply components for a new car model under the 84-month contract.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the company said production is expected to commence in the first quarter of the financial year ending July 31, 2027.
MCE group managing director Goh Kar Chun said the project reflects a partnership forged through decades of collaboration, and PROTON’s confidence in its ability to meet demanding requirements as a long-term partner.
“With in-house research and development and manufacturing capabilities, MCE supports customers across the full cycle, from design and engineering through to production.
“This integrated approach enables us to deliver high-quality solutions, ensure reliable supply at scale, and remain cost-effective,” Goh added.
MCE said the project supports the company’s continued participation across multiple car models and is expected to contribute positively to group earnings and net assets per share over the contract’s duration.
