SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Jalan Istana in Klang will be closed from 8 am to 10 am on Oct 2 to make way for the royal wedding procession of the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Klang district police chief ACP Ramli Kasa said there will be no other road closures in Klang city but it will be fully monitored by traffic police.
“For other districts in Selangor not involved in the ceremony, no road closures will be implemented. All traffic flow in those areas will proceed as usual,” he said in a statement today.
In pre-emptive advice, Ramli said in the same statement that the public should not believe any notice or information disseminated by irresponsible parties other than official information from the police.
He said any enquiries or further information regarding traffic related to the royal wedding ceremony can be obtained by contacting the operations room of the South Klang district police headquarters at 03-337 19999.
“The police would like to express their appreciation to the public for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the parade,” he also said.
The royal wedding procession will feature Tengku Amir Shah and his bride Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz travelling in a palace vehicle starting from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery to Istana Alam Shah.
