IPOH, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Police have arrested a man suspected of being the van driver who crashed into six cars at the KTM Ipoh station parking area early Sunday morning.
Ipoh police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad stated that the incident, which was captured on video and went viral on Facebook, occurred at 2.55 am when the van driver reportedly lost control and collided with several cars parked in the area.
“Thanks to information from the public, the driver was located and detained to assist with the investigation.
“No injuries were reported in the incident, and a urine test on the man showed he tested negative for drugs,” he said in a statement today.
He said the case is classified under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
