SEREMBAN, Dec 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIMNS) detained 46 illegal immigrants for various immigration-related offences during an operation at a factory in Nilai, here yesterday.
Seremban Immigration director, Kennith Tan Ai Kiang, in a statement today, said all those detained during the four-hour operation, which began at 9 am, are Bangladeshi men aged between 18 and 43.
He said the operation was conducted following public complaints, and the immigrants were detained for offences which included not having valid passes and travel documents, and overstaying.
All the detainees were taken to the Lenggeng Immigration Depot for further action, he said.
