REGISTRATION FOR BUDGET 2025 SEMINAR OPENS TODAY - IRB

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 6 (Bernama) -- The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) will organise the Budget 2025 Seminar following the tabling of the national budget in October.

Registration opens today and can be done via https://seminar.hasil.gov.my.

In a statement, the IRB said the seminar will be held in four locations, namely the eastern zone in Kuala Terengganu on Jan 8, 2025, the southern zone in Johor Bahru (Jan 9), the northern zone in Penang (Jan 13) and the central zone in Kuala Lumpur (Jan 14).

“The seminar series aims to provide the public with an opportunity to update and enhance their knowledge, as well as to receive the latest information on amendments to the acts administered by IRB in line with proposals in Budget 2025,” it said.

In addition, the seminar will address current taxation issues, including a session on Corporate Tax Governance: Strengthening Tax Compliance.

The discussions will focus on corporate tax governance in the country to enhance compliance with tax obligations and strengthen the integrity of the national tax system.

The seminar will also discuss the implementation of e-Invoice as a crucial step in the reform of the country’s tax system, especially in efforts to improve transparency, efficiency and tax compliance.

The public, particularly tax practitioners, accounting bodies, professionals and taxpayers, are encouraged to attend the seminar.
