KUCHING, March 22 (Bernama) -- The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) has identified 262 outlets nationwide for the implementation of the Semarak Syawal 1446H Year 2025 programme for the public to buy essential goods ahead of the Aidilfitri celebrations.
FAMA Director-General Abdul Rashid Bahri said the agency is targeting a sales value of RM5 million for the initiative in Sarawak, involving 72 locations, being held from today until March 30.
“The national-level programme will be opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, on March 29 in his Kota Raja parliamentary constituency,” he told reporters at the launch of the state-level Semarak Syawal 1446H here today.
According to Abdul Rashid, the 72 outlets in Sarawak are at Medan Niaga Satok, farmers’ market (13), Agrobazaar Rakyat (21) and Agrobazaar Kedai Rakyat (37).
There will also be the Agro Madani Sale (JAM) with chicken priced at RM10 each, grade B selenium eggs priced at RM15 per tray and local agro-based industry products.
