GUA MUSANG, April 28 (Bernama) -- The South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR) has allocated about RM170,000 to pay land premiums for its planned land development settlers.
Its chairman, Datuk Zawawi Othman said the payments to the state government aims to enable the process of land ownership by settlers on KESEDAR-owned land, with 127 settlers at five developments - Sungai Asap, Renok Baru, Paloh 1, Paloh 3 and Chalil - for the first phase.
“Each settler will receive a plantation lot of almost four hectares with an estimated land value between RM360,000 and RM468,000 per lot.
“The next phase will involve handing over ownership to 2,410 settlers in nine other developments,” he said during his speech at the 2025 KESEDAR housing aid presentation and Hari Raya Aidilfitri event at Dataran Awam Kampung Jerek here today.
He added that settlers would need to sign Form 14A under the National Land Code 1965, the official document for change in land ownership.
“Settlers will gain legal ownership over the land and can managed it themselves,” he added.
